Jakarta, January 6, 2021 - Even though we are still in the Covid-19 pandemic, Pertamina prepares the Christmas and New Year Task Force (Satgas Nataru) to ensure smooth service and distribution of fuel and LPG during the Christmas and New Year 2020/2021 celebrations.
Pertamina also prepares additional facilities, including 919 SPBU Siaga, 62 SPBU Tol Siaga, 213 Motorist units or Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) services, 160 units of Stand By Tank Trucks, three units of mobile dispensers, 32 units of Pertashop, cash and non-payment services at all petrol stations, 4240 LPG Alert Agents, and 66,951 LPG Siaga Bases.
During 2020/2021 Nataru Task Force, Pertamina noted that fuel consumption, especially Gasoline, continued to increase slightly by 1.2% compared to the average in November 2020. Meanwhile, the realization of Gasoil distribution decreased by around 8.5% from the November 2020 average.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Communication & Investor Relations of Pertamina, Agus Suprijanto, said Pertamina continues to operate all of its assets both downstream and processing. It is to ensure the stock and distribution of fuel LPG during Christmas and New Year run smoothly.
"Pertamina remains fully alert, even though the demand for fuel and LPG is predicted not to be as big as the Task Force last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic," said Agus.
According to Agus, 2020/2021 Nataru Task Force has been on duty since December 7, 2020, and will end on January 10, 2021. Pertamina's full readiness is to provide a sense of security and comfort for people celebrating Christmas and New Year 2021.
In the air transportation sector, Pertamina's Nataru Task Force also noted an increase in the consumption of Avtur, which becomes fuel for aircraft.
"The distribution of avtur during the Nataru Task Force has increased quite high, reaching around 15% compared to the November 2020 average following a large number of people using air transportation modes," Agus added.
Then, for fuel for household needs, LPG distribution during the Nataru Task Force has increased by 2.7% from the November 2020 average.
Easier Monitoring
With the completion of the digitalization of 5,518 Pertamina petrol stations throughout Indonesia, said Agus, it is easier for Pertamina to monitor the supply (stock) and sales volume at all petrol stations. Pertamina can also anticipate the distribution of fuel to petrol stations with high transaction volumes, including monitoring the government's assigned fuel distribution.
"With digitalization, Pertamina can monitor the fuel stock in each region to the gas stations. If the fuel stock at one gas station looks low, fuel will automatically be sent from the nearest TBBM," Agus explained.
According to Agus, in line with digitization, Pertamina is also preparing cashless payments using the MyPertamina application connected to LinkAja.
"We have recorded 7 million MyPertamina customers throughout Indonesia so that services to customers can be safer, easier and faster," Agus concluded.**
