Pertamina showcased its fostered MSMEs at the CAEXPO 2024 exhibition in China, introducing their products during a Business Meeting with various Chinese entrepreneurs.

Exhibition Abroad: Pertamina's MSMEs Secure Transaction Agreements Exceeding IDR 2 Billion

Jakarta, September 30, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) concluded its participation in The 21st China ASEAN Expo 2024 (CAEXPO 2024) with remarkable achievements, securing transaction agreements for its fostered MSMEs worth over IDR 2 billion from Chinese buyers. In addition, Pertamina facilitated connections between various businesses, helping to expand their marketing networks and opening up new cooperation opportunities with international buyers.

During the exhibition, Pertamina showcased various innovative MSME products, including food, crafts, and beauty items, which attracted attention from visitors. This participation not only increased the visibility of the products from its fostered partners but also opened up opportunities for expansion into international markets and established partnerships with business associates in the ASEAN region and China.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina is committed to supporting its MSMEs’ development through training programs, access to technology, and marketing networks.

Beauty products from the Bali Ayu Nature MSME were among the most sought-after items by visitors. One of the buyers, Ding Wei, a major Chinese buyer, agreed to a transaction worth more than IDR 2 billion for body mist and diffuser products. Additionally, two other large Chinese exporters also expressed strong interest in Bali Ayu’s beauty products and planned to make bulk purchases.

Wooden tableware products from the Woodeco MSME were also trendy among visitors. At least three major Chinese buyers showed interest in purchasing these products on a large scale. They have requested product catalogs and prices and purchased samples of the items they were interested in.

During the Business Matching event, food products from Fish Skin caught the attention of two Chinese companies, Shenzhen Shenhang Trade Ltd and Beijing Jin San Fu Trading Co. Shenzhen’s company is even waiting for a price offer from Fish Skin. Additionally, a Singaporean designer named Aivie expressed interest in premium woven fabrics from NTB. For retail transactions during the exhibition, more than 80% of Pertamina's MSME products were sold out.

With Pertamina's support, it is hoped that MSMEs will continue to innovate and enhance their competitiveness in the global market. Through participation in international exhibitions, Pertamina is committed to helping Indonesian MSMEs optimize their potential and expand their market access nationally and internationally.
