High-Quality, Pertamina's MSMEs Achieve Transactions of Over 4.5 Billion Rupiah in the Netherlands

Netherlands, November 30, 2024 – The Dutch public continues to show great enthusiasm for Indonesia's tourism and trade sectors. At the Discovering The Magnificence of Indonesia (DMI) 2024 Tourism & Trade Expo, Pertamina's fostered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) achieved an extraordinary milestone, recording transactions worth 270,000 euros or more than IDR 4.5 billion on the second day of the exhibition.

Products from Bunga Palm Purbalingga and Bali Honey Denpasar MSMEs were the most popular among visitors, specifically European buyers and the Dutch diaspora. Several agreements for purchasing commitments with these MSMEs were also signed.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, expressed his appreciation for the achievements of Pertamina's MSMEs. "This is concrete proof that Indonesian MSMEs can compete globally. By leveraging opportunities like DMI 2024, we hope that local products will gain greater recognition and appeal in international markets," he stated.

The event, held at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, Netherlands, serves as a strategic platform to promote Indonesia’s tourism potential and introduce its products to international markets. Pertamina's MSMEs showcased innovative products, ranging from processed foods, handicrafts, commodities, and fashion to environmentally friendly local beauty products.

Dutch enthusiasm for Indonesian MSME products was evident in the high transaction volumes and buyer interest, particularly for products emphasizing cultural values and sustainability. Commodity products like sugar, honey, food items, crafts, and traditional textiles were the most sought-after.

“The DMI 2024 Tourism & Trade Expo will continue until the end of the weekend local time, providing even greater opportunities for MSMEs to reach wider markets and achieve new milestones,” Fadjar concluded.
