Pertamina Group Ready to Serve the Public During the 2024-2025 Christmas and New Year Period

Jakarta, December 19, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) has established a Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2024 Task Force to ensure energy availability across Indonesia during the holiday season. The Nataru Task Force will operate from December 16, 2024, to January 9, 2025.  

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina Group is prepared to assist the public during the Christmas and New Year 2024 Celebrations. The Nataru Task Force will operate across all business lines, from upstream to downstream.  

"The Nataru Task Force began operations on December 16, 2024, until January 9, 2025. Pertamina is on standby 24/7 through the Pertamina Digital Hub to ensure energy supply and smooth distribution in collaboration with relevant institutions," Fadjar said.  

On the upstream side, Fadjar added that Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, through PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and its subsidiaries, continues to maintain oil and gas production according to the target. PHE maintains a total oil and gas production of one million barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD). PHE is fully committed to supporting oil and gas supply during the NATARU period. For oil, PHE has prepared 25 domestic delivery points via ships, 15 domestic delivery points via pipes & trucking, and 112 gas buyers/sales and purchase agreements. From the operational side, SHU has prepared the Emergency Response Organization (ERO), Non-Emergency Standby Personnel, Implementation of Fit To Work (FTW), and Supporting Logistics Management.

In the refinery sector, the Refining & Petrochemical Subholding, PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), has secured crude oil stocks for 17 days, targeting a processing capacity of 930,000 barrels per day. KPI has formed task forces at six Pertamina refineries to ensure safe and reliable production.  

For distribution, through the Integrated Marine & Logistics Subholding, PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has prepared 314 vessels for the Nataru 2024-2025 period, with 12 additional backup vessels beyond the regular fleet.  

Nationally, Fadjar confirmed that fuel, LPG, and aviation stock levels are secure. Infrastructure readiness includes 7,786 fuel stations, 6,802 Pertashops, 414 marine fuel stations (SPBUN), 55 bunker fuel stations (SPBB), 6,478 LPG agents, 754 LPG filling stations (SPBE), and 156 kerosene agents.  

During the Nataru period, Pertamina Patra Niaga, the Commercial & Trading Subholding, established additional energy services along toll roads, tourist routes, and major thoroughfares. These include standby petrol stations, kerosene agents, and LPG outlets, with 56 BBK Service Kiosks, 207 standby fuel trucks, and 245 motorist services.  

Pertamina's Gas Subholding, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), has anticipated increased gas demand. PGN ensures the optimal operation of the 33,000-kilometer pipeline network, three LNG terminals, 16 gas refueling stations (SPBG), and city gas networks. LNG utilization at the FSRU Lampung terminal will support the power plant gas supply.  

"The Gas Subholding is prepared to meet transportation and commercial needs, including the hotel, restaurant, and café (HOREKA) sectors, which typically see increased demand during the holiday season," Fadjar added.  

In renewable energy, the New & Renewable Energy Subholding, PT Pertamina Power Indonesia, ensures geothermal plants' safe and smooth operation to support energy supply for power generation.  

As the mobility of Indonesian people, Pelita Air also contributed to this year's Nataru. For the first time, flight fairs have dropped ahead of Nataru. Pelita Air will provide 200,952 flight seat capacities or an increase of 44% compared to last year's Nataru to serve 16 domestic flight routes.

Meanwhile, Pertamina's healthcare services, PT Pertamina Bina Medika - IHC (Hospital Holding), have prepared strategies to ensure public access to healthcare during the 2024-2025 Nataru celebrations. IHC's network includes 37 hospitals and 76 clinics, all operational 24/7.
