Jakarta, December 17, 2024 – PT Pertamina (Persero) is preparing a task force to welcome the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) period, ensuring energy supplies’ reliability. Pertamina guarantees readiness across upstream and downstream to provide sufficient fuel, LPG, and aviation fuel supply during Nataru.
The Nataru 2024/2025 Task Force was officially inaugurated by the President Director of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, and attended by all President Directors of Pertamina Group’s Sub-holdings in Jakarta on Monday, December 16, 2024.
The Pertamina Nataru Task Force will operate 24 hours a day from December 16, 2024, to January 9, 2025, to ensure energy is accessible to all citizens.
“Pertamina has prepared well to anticipate increases in demand and the holiday travel surge during Christmas and New Year,” said President Director of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that the task force preparations comprehensively encompass upstream to downstream energy sectors.
“At the kickoff event for the Nataru Task Force preparations, all Sub-holding Directors of the Pertamina Group expressed their commitment to readiness for the Nataru period,” said Fadjar.
In the upstream energy sector, Pertamina continues to push oil and gas operations to support national energy availability during Nataru through the Upstream Sub-holding. Pertamina also ensures the Emergency Response Organization (ERO)’s readiness to prepare emergency response equipment at operational units.
Through the Refinery & Petrochemical Sub-holding, Pertamina has secured crude oil stock with a processing capacity reaching 930 thousand barrels per stream day (MBSD).
Meanwhile, through the International Marine & Logistics Sub-holding, Pertamina has prepared vessels with tonnage capacities tailored for fuel and gas distribution needs during the Nataru task force period.
In the downstream sector, Fadjar explained that Pertamina has ensured the readiness of all energy distribution infrastructure to supply energy during Nataru. It includes Gas Sub-holding, which is on standby to distribute gas to over 815,000 retail and household customers through more than 33,000 kilometers of pipeline, three LNG terminals, 16 gas fuel stations (SPBG), and Mobile Refueling Units (MRU).
“Pertamina has also collaborated with relevant agencies at the central and regional levels to support smooth energy distribution,” Fadjar added.
Through the Commercial & Trading Sub-holding, Pertamina is providing fuel and LPG services via 7,786 fuel stations, 740 LPG filling stations, 6,478 agents, 256,381 PSO LPG outlets, 85,823 NPSO LPG outlets, 357 kerosene agents, 56 Pertamina Siaga Kiosks, 245 motorist services, 207 standby tank trucks, 72 aviation fuel terminals, 125 fuel terminals, and 40 LPG terminals.
“Pertamina is also conducting inspections on the feasibility of operational facilities (pipelines and tanks at fuel terminals), fuel station facilities, tank trucks, and tank truck drivers’ health during the Nataru task force period managed by Commercial & Trading Sub-holding,” Fadjar further explained.
During Nataru, through Pertamina New Renewable Energy Sub-holding, Pertamina also ensures the supply of clean energy to fulfill electricity needs sourced from renewable energy. Pertamina has prepared clean energy from geothermal, gas-to-power, solar, and biomass or biogas.
