Pertamina’s MSMEs Earn 1 Billion Rupiah in Revenue at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia

Lombok, October 1, 2024 – The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024 has officially ended, bringing fortune to Pertamina’s fostered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that participated in the Pertamina Energizing You Festival. Over three days of sales, from September 27-29, 2024, the total revenue generated by the MSMEs reached nearly IDR 1.1 billion.

Sales revenue skyrocketed by 56% compared to last year’s event, which recorded transactions worth IDR 689 million.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), explained that this year’s preparation for the MSME exhibition at the international racing event was more thorough. It began with curating MSME products to fulfill the audience’s needs, alongside showcasing unique products from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), which captured visitors' attention.

“In addition to offering products that visitors need, this year, the MSME area is located in the same area as the entertainment stage. The Pertamina Energizing You Festival area has become a one-stop solution for visitors’ convenience,” Fadjar explained.

Fadjar added that one of the unique aspects of Pertamina’s MSMEs is the concept of environmental sustainability, which is Pertamina’s focus. For instance, Good Craft is an MSME that recycles coconut leaf waste into creative handicrafts.

Gilang Putra, the owner of Good Craft, added that their coconut leaf-based handicrafts are frequently ordered as souvenirs by various institutions, interior businesses, and retail buyers. “For a handicraft MSME, having products made from coconut leaves that are highly sought after by consumers is a source of pride, especially since the green concept we learned from Pertamina UMK Academy training has made it a flagship product,” he said.

Gilang also expressed his pride in receiving appreciation from the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, when she accepted a portrait painting made from coconut leaves by Good Craft.

In addition to handicrafts, various foods and beverages were popular with visitors at the Pertamina Energizing You Festival. One such product was Nutsafir, a brand of cakes owned by Sayuk. Nutsafir produces peanut-based snacks that are easy to enjoy during breaks between watching the motor race.

Nutsafir’s cakes are often ordered by various hotels in Lombok. This MSME, who became Pertamina’s fostered partner in 2022, frequently participates in various Pertamina events.

“At the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2024, I took the opportunity to introduce Nutsafir’s peanut cakes to visitors from outside NTB, along with other products as unique souvenirs from Lombok,” Sayuk added.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
